Will the AirCone Work in NFT?

Absolutely, in fact, we’ve actually sold more AirCones to NFT growers than to DWC growers, which totally blows my mind! I did not see that coming at all.

What are the advantages?

The AirCone cleans and purifies the water in the tank, something that doesn't happen in most NFT systems. With better water quality, you defeat root rot, get healthier roots, fewer clogs, and stronger plants. NFT growers often fight low-grade pythium. And without using an oxygen concentrator or bottled oxygen, you can never get above 100% saturation, which is 8.9 milligrams per liter. With the AirCone, you get that number up. We recommend running a dissolved oxygen level of 15 - 20 mg/L.

You can integrate the AirCone into your system using your existing pumps, or you can plumb in another pump. Some growers just drop a sump pump from the hardware store into the tank and let it run. A sump pump alone provides plenty of flow.
